Freamunde International Choir Competition 2011 (Portugal)

We are proud and pleased

We are proud becouse we won the 3rd. prize in the section of cacred music within the category of Equal Voices, in the International Choral Festival Freamunde, in Portugal (which has had the participation of 15 choirs from all around the world (Estonia, Poland, England, Portugal, Bulgaria, Singapore, Nigeria, Keya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Spain, Slovakia …). Once again, the name of our village has come out strongly Laudio.

The program played in the sacred section was as follows:

  • Ave María (Anonymous XV century).
  • Virgen Bendita sin par (Pedro de Escobar).
  • Ruinas de un monasterio (Stheel).
  • Einer ist nur ewig (Robert Pappert).

And we’re pleased with the work done by all partners of the choir, but especially by our conductor, Bea Zurimendi, who with his determination and dedication has managed to get the best from each one to make this award possible.

But we do not forget “our two girls”, Maitane Zaballa and Aitziber Temprano, the dancers who have supported us and have done so well at every concert.

And neither should we forget our sponsors, the City Hall of Llodio, Jez Sistemas Ferroviarios S.L, Guardian Llodio and Autocares Sobrón, Thanks to which we can tackle projects like this one.

This is the way to follow, continue to improve and set new challenges for the future.
